Fermenting food? Making bone broth? Culturing water kefir?
Centuries ago this was quite common, but not so much anymore. This class will introduce you to the traditional ways of preserving vegetables and fruit without the use of freezers or canning. Lacto-fermentation or brine pickling has advantages beyond food preservation.
We will talk about the health benefits of making and consuming lacto-fermented vegetables and fruit.
In this class you will also learn how to make nutrient dense bone broth. We will talk about the amazing health benefits of bone broth.
There will be demonstrations and sampling of fermented foods, bone broth and water kefir.
The class is limited to 24 participants.
Registration is required in advance.

Directions: Washington to Lancer Drive (CLC Campus). University Center is the only 3-Story Brick building on the left side of Lancer. Please arrive by 6:45 for registration. The workshop begins promptly at 7pm, allow time for parking and finding your way to the third floor science lab.
