Make Your Own Mozzarella and Burrata with The Milk Maid
Louella Hill, aka The San Francisco Milk Maid, is teaming up with UKSF and CUESA again to bring back one of our most popular classes of 2012 - Make Your Own Mozzarella and Burrata. Burrata is a cream-filled mozzarella you'll find in restaurants and specialty stores all over town. Participants will learn the technique of stretching mozzarella, and will also get creative with the cream filling. They will leave with their homemade cheese, as well as ingredients and tips on how to recreate the experience at home.
This will be Part 1 of a 3-part cheese series with Ms. Hill, so look out for more details on Part 2 in March: Queso Blanco and Part 3 in April: Chevre. Participation in all classes is not required, but heavily encouraged!
Date & Time: February 19th, 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Location: CUESA Dacor Teaching Kitchen at San Francisco's Landmark Ferry Building
*Sliding scale pricing available. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
