Greetings Entrepreneurs, Business Owners, Sales People, and Dreamers! Are you ready to make 2014 Your Best Year Ever?
I hope you said Yes because it is definitely the holiday season already! I mean if the decorations didn't cue you then this week's weather for sure did! It's a great time of the year to remember what we are thankful for. I'm not sure about you but I know that what I focus on tends to become reality in my life. You know...if you are looking for bad omens, you'll surely find them and conversely if you are looking for blessings you will find those too! Which do you want to focus on? This is also an excellent time of the year to begin to collect the lessons learned from this year, assimilate them and start to formulate your plan for 2014. Yes I know, some of you love to operate in that "Panic", "Last Minute", "Crunch Time" mode, and after all, January 1st is sooooooooo far away! (Did I describe you?). However stop for a minute and think about it...many of us have 2 years experience in our business, or 5 years, 7 years, 15 years, even 30 years experience in our business. Really? Or do we have the same year in business we've just repeated 30 times? Ouch! That hit a nerve...I know it did with me. So, what do you need to do in order for 2014 to be your best year ever? We are going to accomplish this in 4 steps. 1) First of all you need to review 2013. What did you do well? What did you do right? How much did you grow or did you lose ground? What worked etc... you get the picture. It's really inportant here that you are as honest with yourself as possible. 2) "Find Your Starting Point". Make sure you are clear on exactly where you want to begin in 2014, target market, ideal client, product, the right networking groups for you etc... 3) Goal Setting which is accomplished by Visioning, Strategizing, and Activating and 4) Learning the "Contacts to Contracts" method of networking.
