Main Street Speaker Series feat. Jeff Stevenson
Wednesday, March 19, 2014 from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM (EDT)
Jeff Stevenson is the founder and CEO of VinoPRO, a very successful, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Company in the wine industry based in Sonoma County, California. Starting in 2008 he built VinoPRO from just an idea to a company that achieved over 1800% growth in 3 years, earning its place at #236 on the coveted 2013 Inc 500 list of the fastest growing companies in the United States. Stevenson is no stranger to startup companies. He joined NetManage in 1992 and helped take that company public as it became the most successful IPO in the history of the world. He went on to join Internet Giant Netscape Communications as the company was just being started, went public in 1995 and also became the most successful IPO in the history of the world.
As a General Partner and venture capitalist with Alcatel Ventures, he got rare insight into starting other high-tech companies and helped lead investments in ground-breaking technologies that are now a part of each of your cell phones and other devices we all use every day. He then founded his own VC firm Venture Crossing and raised millions of dollars for several promising startups. Come hear why failing is a healthy part of building a successful business, why our challenging economy should scream “Opportunity” to all entrepreneurs, the secrets to building a profitable company once you decide to pull the trigger, and why it is so important to follow your passions at all times.
