Main Street Speaker Series - Barefoot Wine Co-founders
Wednesday, September 25, 2013 from 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM (EDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Michael Houlihan and Bonnie Harvey, co-founders of Barefoot Cellars, started with no money or knowledge of wine, but by using out-of-the-box thinking and solid business principles, built a leading national brand right out of their laundry room. Rather than using conventional advertising, Michael and Bonnie relied on “worthy cause marketing” to grow a loyal following while promoting their favorite causes. Barefoot Wines went on to win the industry’s top sales awards. They were selling well over half a million cases annually with the E & J Gallo family purchased the brand in 2005. Since then, Michael and Bonnie have served as advisors for start-up companies and also donate much of their time to non-profit organizations.
Michael and Bonnie also co-authored “The Barefoot Spirit” that is a New York Times Bestseller, USA Today Bestseller, #1 Bestseller on Amazon, and #1 Bestseller at Barnes & Noble.
Reserve your copy of "The Barefoot Spirit" today. You may add a book to your order when you purchase your ticket. You will pick up your copy on the day of the event, at which there will be a book signing.
“It’s an inspiration to see how they broke all the rules and still succeeded against all odds. For anyone contemplating starting a business, there are lessons to be learned here and an entertaining story as a bonus.”
