The 3rd Annual Main Line Parent Education Expo offers the easiest way to learn about the schools and educational enrichment programs in your neighborhood and beyond. Get to know these resources on a personal level, and discover the best fit to help your child excel.

A celebration of thinkers big and small, this Education Expo will focus on supporting the needs of families with students in Pre-K through Grade 12. In addition to providing one-on-one time with members of the admissions staff from schools throughout the area, the event will feature over 20 hands-on “imagination stations” to dive into science, art, and creative discovery projects, educational raffle prizes, panel discussions and lectures on the application, testing, and admissions process, and engaging workshops for ages 3-7 and 8-12.

The Business of Doing GoodHow Can Your Interests Help Save The World?
Work through an ideation exercise, like a real entrepreneur, by examining common household items and thinking about them in very different ways. Think about how your character, your hopes and dreams and your choices can help you identify your passion. Work through a Character, Entrepreneur and Ownership (CEO) exercise to identify your passion.

Friends School Haverford:  What's In A Wing?
Experiment with the four forces of flight.  Using a limited number of materials-- a straw, paper loops of varying length and width, tape, and paper clips-- manipulate thrust, weight, lift, and drag to design a model flyer worthy of Orville and Wilbur Wright!

The Grayson SchoolHow Do Gears Work?
For littler attendees: come experiment with how gears work together. See if you can turn lots of gears while only pushing one! For bigger kids, come play a fun game against your friends, and see who can match five gears together first.

The Pennsylvania Cyber Charter SchoolHow Can You Make A Magnetic Picture Frame From Scratch?
Scratch these assorted shape frames with your own multicolored design or greeting by using the scratching tool!

The School in Rose ValleyWhat Can You Sew?

The Waldorf School of PhiladelphiaHow Many Different Ways Can You Count?
The Waldorf curriculum integrates academic and kinesthetic learning styles, and begins to teach mathematics
(including the introduction of multiplication and division) in first grade. At the Waldorf Imagination Station children will have the opportunity to try out a multiplication clock and discover the relationship between numbers, as well as the many interesting ways numbers proceed (some forwards and some backwards). They will also see how the numbers recur in a sequence. This approach makes it easier for many children to grasp the concept of multiplication.

Young Audiences, Arts for LearningHow Can You Use Shapes To Tell A Story?
Shapes, lines and forms are all around us. They define the edge of a horizon line and even a table where you eat dinner. What shapes can you create to arrange a picture? Can this picture tell a story? Create your very own quilt square to tell your special story in a single image!

Greene Towne Montessori SchoolHow Can You Engage Curious Toddlers And Preschoolers For Long Periods Of Time?
Little hands love to explore by squeezing, poking, twisting, patting, tearing and experimenting. Each young visitor will be given their own ball of homemade play dough to experiment with, pressing different shapes and objects into the dough to make a unique pattern. Children up to 4-years-old may take their play dough home.

Friends’ Central SchoolCan You Create a Hand-Made Spinning Top?
Using sandpaper, the tip of the wood will be sanded down to create the point. Then, the point will slide through a hole in a pre-made wooden circle. The final step is to decorate the body of the top (the circle) with markers, either before sliding the point through the circle or color it while the top is spinning to create some very neat designs!

Mi Casita PreschoolMantequilla (Butter!)
Mi Casita will teach you the ancient butter making "secreto". Making butter requires shaking, shaking, shaking, more shaking, but the end result is "fantástico"!  Learn how a liquid can turn into a solid by making your very own butter to take home with you.

The wind is a powerful force of nature, capable of moving small and large vessels across water.   Join us for the NFA Regatta Race and use the power of your own “wind” to race your sailboat to the finish line!

Penn MuseumWhat Special Charms Did Ancient Egyptians Use To Protect Themselves From Danger?
The ancient Egyptian used special charms, called amulets, to protect them and give them strength. The amulets were often shaped like animals, plants, or symbols and they sometimes had spells written on them. At our amulet-making station, make your own special charm to protect you from harm!

The Miquon SchoolHow can you create a nature clay magnet?
At the Miquon School, we believe that the natural world is a place to learn. As part of a lesson or a source of playful revelation, nature weaves its way into every child’s experience. At the Miquon School Imagination Station, children will use a natural object to create a beautiful clay magnet. We invite children to bring their own special object from nature to choose one from Miquon!

Print Art Kids: How can you create every color of the rainbow with only four colors?  Every magazine, book and postcard that you see is printed with ink.  See how only four colors that, when used in different combinations and patterns, work together to recreate photographs and colored letters.
