Introduction to R
Speaker: Robert Biddle
Summary: Data Science is a relatively new discipline. Core to this is the visualization of data. R is a language and environment used for data visualization and statistical computing.
In this session we'll explore the basics of the R language and review some examples. Additionally we'll review basic R integration and how to use the language for dashboards or reporting.
Microsoft just announced that SQL 2016 will have R support integrated directly into the database - learn about R now and get ahead of the learning curve!
About Robert: Robert Biddle is a Data Architect for Hilton Grand Vacations in Orlando, Florida. He has over a decade of experience working with SQL Server in a variety of roles. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Delaware and also has MCITP certifications for Database Administration and Database Development. In recent years, Robert has specialized himself working with data integration, ETL, and data warehousing. He is a frequent speaker at SQL Saturday and Code Camp events.
