A Beginners Guide to Indexing and Performance Tuning for SQL Server
Speaker: Andy Warren
Summary: Performance tuning isn't as hard as you think! If you write queries and want to learn to make them faster, this is the place to start. You'll learn the basics, starting with how queries get executed, why indexes usually make queries faster, how to read a query plan, and why you need to pay attention to index maintenance. This isn't just DBA trivia, it's knowledge that is useful for anyone that works with SQL Server. Bring your performance questions and we'll take as many as we can during and after the presentation.
