Course description 7100 – 0.7 CEUs

Knowing when and how to properly safeguard machinery can reduce or eliminate the potential for accidents and injuries. Safeguards are essential for protecting workers from needless and preventable injuries such as crushed hands and arms, severed fingers, and blindness.

Increase your knowledge and skill in proper machine safeguarding techniques, and learn the benefits of guarding various types of machinery. It’s your responsibility to identify and select the safeguards necessary to protect employees and others in the work area, as well as to provide appropriate training in safe work practices.

We’ll cover:

  • Hazardous actions and motions of machinery & where these movements occur
  • The variety of tools available to assist you in your safeguarding efforts
  • Safeguarding required by specific OSHA standards

Tune to WFSB Channel 3 or WTIC 1080 for cancellations due to inclement weather.
