machine-sewing 101 for kids and adults
Saturday, August 23, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (CDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
We've added another session of this popular workshop on Saturday, August 23 from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
This workshop is for adults and kids ages 8 and up but 6 & 7 year-olds may attend with adult friends. (Adult/child pairs need only to sign up for one spot.)
Whether you just got a new sewing machine or you've had one for years that you're afraid to touch, this workshop is for you!* Just bring your machine and your manual, and join Sarah Terry for step-by-step instruction on how to thread the needle, wind the bobbin, and perform other amazing feats! This workshop is for basic sewing only. No toy machines, embroidery machines, or machines that utilize computerized design programs please!
Participants will apply these skills toward making pincushions to use in future sewing projects.
All supplies are included in the $35 workshop fee.
*Those who do not own machines but would like to take advantage of this beginning sewing class may rent one of four shop machines for the workshop. Machine-rental tickets must be purchased in conjunction with tickets to the Machine-Sewing 101 workshop. Those who prefer to sign up in person or over the phone (via credit card) may do so during Sew Memphis business hours.
