John Pacyga, landscape architect at Verdant Design (http://www.VerdantDesignKy.com), uses Sketchup professionall almost every day. He's interested in teaching the LVL1 community about Sketchup design in a 3D printing context.
This workshop will take place before our November 11th meeting, upstairs, from 6pm to 8pm. John will be walking students through everything from the basics of sketchup, through the 3D printing workflow.
This is a pay-what-you-want workshop, any amount goes, and all money will go to LVL1. Seating is limited to 15, and you should bring a laptop to the workshop.
If there's more interest following this workshop, John has expressed interested in teaching other workshops that go beyond the basics.
If you're looking for a good place to jump in to 3D design, or would like to learn some different tools for creating 3D printed marvels, this is the workshop for you!
This workshop will go into more nuts-and-bolts than our June workshop, so stop on by! Stick around after the workshop for a 3D printer walkthrough (following our regular Tuesday meeting)
When & Where
LVL1 is a Louisville hackerspace.
LVL1's mission is to provide a shared space for collaborative technical and artistic experimentation in the Louisville area. We are a non-profit organization following the hackerspace model currently flourishing in cities all over the world. Our goal is to create an open workspace where engineers, artists and educators can meet and collaborate. LVL1 is where we begin making amazing things.
