About the Seminar:
Part 1: Lupus and the Kidneys
Presenter: Dr. Keisha Gibson, UNC Kidney Center
Did you know that an estimated 40% of all people living with lupus will develop kidney complications? This seminar will address complications, medical evaluation, and treatment options as it relates to kidney involvement in individuals living with lupus.
Part 2: Lessons in Lupus – Panel Discussion
Having lupus can make the demands of everyday life challenging. Participants will learn from a panel of individuals living with lupus that, although lupus is a life threatening disease, quality of life and longevity can be attainable for a person living with lupus.
