Lunch and Learn: Composting Workshop
Friday, October 14, 2011 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM (EDT)
At this workshop participants will:
Learn what composting methods work best for them
Practice reusing and recycling waste
Compost bins will be available for purchase for $40. Kitchen scrap buckets will be available for purchase for $7. Cash or check only. Checks need to be made out to the City of Lakeland, Lakes and Stormwater Division.
Workshop held in cooperation with the City of Lakeland Water Utilities and Lakes and Stormwater Divisions.
Park in parking garage Level 1A, 1B or Magnolia Building. Attendees must have a photo I.D. Join us for lunch (included) and free giveaways! Preregistration is required.
Florida Yards and Neighborhoods is a grant-funded program in cooperation with the University of Florida, Polk County, and the Alafia River, Hillsborough River and Peace River Basin Boards of the Southwest Florida Water Management District. The program emphasizes creating and maintaining attractive landscapes to enhance the community and protect our valuable natural resources.
