Do you have a technology that you think has commercial potential? If so, you will want to know what options are available to you, and you will need the funding to get there. This class will provide you with a high-level view of alternative avenues for commercialization and how federal funding through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs can be a valuable part of the process. Program essentials, such as purpose, eligibility, sources of funding, etc., will be covered. Presented by Michael Kurek, PhD, BBC Partner, who advises BBC clients in evaluating commercialization alternatives and developing plans for their technology products or services.
Michael P. Kurek, Ph.D., MBA, Partner, has held senior management positions in marketing, sales and business development for a number of life science companies. Over his 30-year career, Michael has demonstrated success on an international scale in defining new product opportunities, developing sales and marketing strategies, and recruiting and managing teams to deliver growth. He holds a Ph.D. in Genetics from Florida State University and an M.B.A. from Boston University. He joined BBC in 2001 as a Principal Consultant.
