About the artist:
Christoph Traxler is one of the most promising young Austrian pianists. He performs with orchestras such as the Vienna Chamber Orchestra and the Staatskapelle Halle with famous conductors like Manfred Honeck and Ralf Weikert. Futhermore he appears on stage in recitals and chamber music concerts with partners such as Angelika Kirchschlager, Bo Skovhus and members of the Vienna and the Berlin Philharmonic.
...For those without said problem there was much to admire about Daniel Ottensamer’s articulate playing: plenty of flair here, and the flowing line that makes everything in Brahms sound so natural. His Weber was rather the showstopper too. The pianist, Christoph Traxler, isn’t as far along in his career as Ottensamer but impressed with prize-winning accompanying – technically effortless, superb touch, and sensitive and complementary to Ottensamer but coming sparklingly to the fore at all the right moments – and is a name to watch out for...(10/11/2012, Badener Zeitung)
