January 23rd 6-9pm: Creating a Marketing Plan that Works for You and Staying on Message - How a marketing plan makes everything else easy. Stay on message, determine what sets you apart from your competitors and learn how to use branding and advertising together. While you are in the process of updating your local business listings and social media outlets, it’s important to keep your messaging consistent. Determine how you can set yourself apart and what keywords will be best for you to incorporate in your online platforms. Learn how to effectively sell yourself and keep your branding consistent.
January 30th 6-9pm: Social Media Marketing Now that you have a clear and consistent message, learn how to promote your business on Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter without overexposing yourself. We’ll teach you how to get customers to like you on facebook, creating a business page vs a personal page as well as how to effectively use LinkedIn and Twitter. Social media is a great way to generate awareness and keep your customers in the “know”. Learn how to use it effectively without driving yourself crazy!
February 6th 6-9pm: Inbound Marketing – Getting Customers to Come to You Through Blogs, Social Media and Email Marketing – Stop wasting money on flyers, postcards and bus benches. Inbound marketing is all about presenting your goods and services online and getting people to come to you. Learn how to get potential customers to find you and how to use email marketing to incentive repeat business. Learn why email marketing is so effective and how to stay in touch with customers. The strategies for a successful website include staying on message, calls-to-action, incorporating social media and making it easy for visitors to convert into customers. We’ll also, uncover the truth about simple SEO and how to avoid the many, many SEO scams there are out there. Once you have visitors coming to your site, you’ll want to know how they are finding you and much more. We will cover an intro to analytics, how to incorporate it into your site, how to track who is coming to your website and how they are getting there.
February 20th 6-9pm: Online Advertising - Easy and Inexpensive Online Advertising Options - You don’t have a huge advertising budget to start your own online advertising campaign. So instead of paying someone to manage your accounts, learn how to create a simple advertising campaign where you control the monthly ad spend and are able to turn your ads on and off whenever you like. We’ve found that social media sites are a great way for you to create a low cost advertising campaign that is highly targeted (by location, interest and much more). For advertisers who want to get on the first page of Google, we’ll cover setting up an AdWords account properly and how to create a targeted campaign that will save you money and improve your ROI. We’ll also revisit analytics and how to track your ad spend and results with analytics.
