Horse Feathers with David Ramirez
- Motorco Music Hall, Durham NC
Love & War is a five-piece alternative rock band based in Raleigh, NC and composed of Bryan Mears (lead vocals, acoustic guitar), TJ Louie (keyboard, vocals), Michael Mears (bass, vocals), Stephen Luster (drums), and Ryan Collinsworth (electric guitar).
Love & War represents a fusion of musical and philosophical ideals; it exists at the crossroads of blues-rock and folk, in the crucible of joy and pain. Pounding, dynamic drums and bass secure the tight groove underpinning an introspective, singer/songwriter sound. Strong melody floats over wistful acoustic guitar as harmony swells and punctuates the emotional vocals of Bryan Mears. Delicate keys are contrasted against harsh blues-based riffing from electric guitar, all culminating in a musical sound that punches you in the stomach inasmuch as it takes your breath away.
We're a band based out of Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
We make soulful, sometimes bluesy rock music that will make you dance whether you want to or not. Because why wouldn't you want to?
After 6 years of performing Live across the Eastern US with numerous bands, Singer/Songwriter Jason Ross from Raleigh, NC has spent the last 2 years working solo as a songwriter and performer. Jason's music, Like Jason himself, is direct, hopeful, and optimistic. Standing on-stage with nothing more than his acoustic guitar and harmonica, Jason attempts to tell a story of dream-like optimism about life, Love, and the search for a meaning in a world full of uncertainty and disappointment.
Recently returning to his hometown of Raleigh, NC after more than a decade away, Jason has quickly found his place in the Raleigh music scene. Jason will start production on his second full-length album in January 2013 with hopes of a release date in early spring.
