Scheduled on 12.12.12, our new date has significant meaning in the Ancient Mayan Calendar as the end of times as we know it, and the beginning of a new cycle of evolution for the planet earth, humanity and the cosmos. 12.12.12 is a beautiful opportunity for transformation and healing on a personal, professional and global level, providing that much more significance and meaning for this remarkable event, which is all about implementing change.

Culinary Nutritionist East End Long IslandKeynote: It is no mystery that we are what we eat. While consumers at large (and even conventional medical wisdom) are starting to recognize the critical role food plays in a person's health outcome, there remains a disconnect between the foods we choose and how we feel. Culinary Nutrition pioneer, Stefanie Sacks, MS, CNS, CDN explores why this disconnect exists, how we can begin to change it and the role that food can ultimately play in preventing illness and restoring health.

Executive Coach NYC Colette EllisIntroductory topic: Stress has been proven to play a significant role in many health concerns – from asthma to migraines, cancer to heart disease, and even diabetes. Believe it or not, the way you think about your life affects your stress level – and therefore your health. Certified Stress Management Coach Colette Ellis will guide you to recognize your stress “triggers,” and include simple stress reduction habits (like meditation & affirmations) into your daily routine so you can be more resilient, and live a healthier life with less tension and anxiety.

Edan Harari Massage Therapist NYCOrtho-Bionomy: Edan Harari is a bodyworker who truly has an understanding of the body and how it works. A dancer and yogi for as long as he remembers, Edan often works with movement artists and athletes to help them relieve their musculoskeletal conditions that show up from overuse. Edan has been practicing holistic bodywork at various well-known sports clubs throughout NYC since graduating from the Swedish Institute. He has been in private practice for over 8 years. Edan’s bodywork sessions include various forms of massage and healing modalities as well as Ortho-Bionomy, a profound healing method that aims at providing individuals with pain-relief as well as restoring the body’s natural balance by working with the nervous system. He is also active as an educator, composer, and writer/presenter for academic publications and conferences. He earned a Masters in Guitar Performance from Manhattan School of Music and a Ph.D. in music theory from Catholic University of America. He taught at CUA and at Georgetown University for many years and now teaches at Columbia University in New York City.

Special Guest Musician: Gabo Tomasini developed his first Latin percussion chops in smoke filled bars throughout the southeast.  In the mid 90′s, Gabo spent two years in Puerto Rico where he studied under the extraordinary percussionist, Freddie Santiago as well as other extremely talented congueros, timbaleros, and bongoceros throughout the island. At the age of 18, Gabo joined the world renowned band, Bio Ritmo. During his 18 year stint with the group, Gabo was instrumental in the development of their undeniably infectious groove that has captivated fans the world over.  Now based in Brooklyn, NY, Gabo has established himself as a freelance percussionist playing salsa, boogaloo, latin jazz, and brazilian music with various musicians and groups throughout New York City, Caribbean, Europe, and the US.
