Event Details

In a culture overrun by complaining, playing nice, idle chatter, and loneliness, there are some moments of connection that are truly magical. These are the moments when you realize that someone is loving you for exactly what you are ashamed of. When you both feel profoundly seen and heard. When you don't have to pretend and defend any more, and are rewarded for being all of yourself. You just met, but already feel like lifelong friends. Your emotions become unstuck, and you feel joy, relief, and playfulness, even in the presence of anger or grief.

This workshop, a full-day Relational Alchemy intensive, is dedicated to making more of those moments in the world, both for you and for everyone that you come in contact with.

(includes a break for lunch)

Rumi's Field
502 Andover St, SF

$180 each

12 people max

Topics Covered
In this intensive we will be exploring a new way of looking at how we relate, and having more choice around creating intimacy:

Presence - A chicken & egg problem.

Truth - Taking responsibility for your experience is just the beginning.

Love - Unconditional love, with an emphasis on the unconditional.

Respect - Difference and dissonance create movement.

Connection - It takes effort to resist connection.

Who this is for
You've done some personal growth work; maybe a little, maybe a lot; maybe Landmark, NVC, Radical Honesty, etc.  And you are still discontent with the depth of relating that you experience outside of workshop-land.  You've seen the light, but you're not sure how to get there.  (Hint: a lot of schools of personal growth address either Love or Respect, but not both!)

What to expect
Like the Community Nights, this workshop is highly experiential. I want to teach you a small set of models and practices, and to help you experience them first-hand so that you can immediately start integrating them into your life.

I also hope to have time to offer everyone some individual attention to address where they are at in their relational growth.  (That's why I'm capping attendance at 12 people.)

This is a workshop about relating, which is more fundamental than relationships.  Relational Alchemy applies just as much to sales negotiations and making friends on BART as it does to flirting with the cute barista or sharing vulnerably with your life partner.
