Louisville Transportation Camp - 2nd Annual
TARC officials will be sharing the current availability of their Realtime GPS data, and will share some very recent developments regarding their vendor and data-sharing issues.
This event was suggested by a collection of technology entrepreneurs, many of whom were involved with the first Transportation Camp held in December 2011. The camp will allow software developers to experience and learn about publicly accessible data that can be used for a variety of transportation applications.
6:00-6:20 – Opening Comments and Introductions (Barry/Kay and Ted and ALL)
6:20-7:00 – Overview of TARC’s GPS feed (and Camera feed if possible) technology platform and progress toward Google Real Time open standard
7:00-8:00 – Group discussion of how the community can support this and implementation ideas
It will be held in TARC’s Gold LEED Certified building featuring classrooms and wi-fi, behind Union Station, 1000 W. Broadway.
If you enter the property on 10th Street, this building is directly in front of you with the TARC logo on prominent display.
You can take TARC to the meeting on Rt. #23 with frequent bus arrival times – every 15 minutes until 9 p.m.
For those driving, parking is directly behind Union Station. Just take the first right south of Broadway on 10th into the lot.
See you there.
