Park and Ride
There are several parking lots located along Trinity north of MLK that offer free and pay-to-park options after 6PM on weekdays and all day on weekends. Catch the Capital Metro bus to the front gate of Butler Park. Visit capmetro.org/planner to plan your trip and find the closest location. Additionally, several Capital Metro routes stop within a short walking distance of Butler Park including the #7, #1, and #3. (www.capmetro.org)
Biking and Walking
Those coming from downtown can take the South First Street Bridge pedestrian walkway across the lake and access the concert site on Riverside Drive. Bike parking is located on both sides of the venue so be sure to bring your lock. Butler Park is also located nearby the Hike and Bike trail and is within walking distance of many hotels, restaurants and neighborhoods. Ride your bike in or catch a bus to a nearby location and enjoy the scenery, ambience, and hospitality of South Austin on your way to the show. You can rent a bike from SXCycles, open daily and freefor registrants.
There are several parking options available close to Butler Park, but they fill up fast. Early birds can find parking at the Palmer Event Center garage and, if driving in after 5PM, you can find parking at both One Texas Center garage (505 Barton Springs) and the TX DOT parking lots (150 E Riverside). Rates vary and these options fill up quickly so consider alternate modes of transportation. ADA parking is available in the Palmer garage and other area parking garages. Please do not park in residential neighborhoods as you will be towed.
SXSW Registrants and Wristband holders can ride the free Outdoor Stage Shuttle from the Austin Convention Center to the show. Catch the shuttle from the Convention Center on Trinity street outside of Exhibit Hall 2 or at the southeast corner of 1st street and Riverside Drive on your way back.
