In 1983, civil war broke out in Sudan and over 2 million lives were lost in the conflict. The young boys and girls who were able to escape walked for years — a long, dangerous journey to find safety at relief camps in Ethiopia and later, Kenya. In 2001, about 3,800 children were selected for resettlement in the United States.
Please welcome Sebastian Maroundit and Mathon Noi to San Diego. Their story about the strength of the human spirit in the face of unspeakable tragedy. You won’t be disappointed!
All attendees including students must bring their printed ticket.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
If you are reserving a CSUSM Student Ticket, or purchasing a Faculty/Staff ticket you must bring your ticket and CSUSM ID to be admiited.
Note: If ticketholders are not seated five minutes prior to the beginning of the performance, Arts & Lectures reserves the right to offer that seat to another guest.

Complimentary Parking will be available in LOT N. Look for directional signs to parking once you arrive on campus.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes, but only within the same ticket type.
For example, a student can tranfer their ticket to another CSUSM student with valid CSUSM ID.
CSUSM Faculty/Staff can transfer their ticket to another CSUSM Faculty/Staff with valid CSUSM ID.
General Public can transfer their ticket to anyone.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes or bring a SMART Phone to show your online ticket barcode. Note that tickets will not be sold at the door.
(Tickets are not required to view the exhibit from Feb 1- Feb 23 at the CSUSM Art Gallery in Restaurant Row.)

The Office of Arts & Lectures produces the Arts and Lectures Series, a wide-range of curriculum-linked events.

The program not only supplements and complements curricular needs but it also enriches cultural life on the campus and within the community.
All Arts & Lectures events require a ticket and is open to students, faculty, staff and the general public.
