The theme for June 26's L.A.S. is DESIGN.
June in Los Angeles means...
- The city officially sets into Summer...
- Yes, there is a bit of a gloomy atmosphere for much of the month...
- It becomes blockbuster season for the film industry...
- There is a big home design and technology expo...
- We celebrate fathers and their many contributions to the world...
- Outdoor movies and outdoor activity and outdoor everything become a thing...
- An annual month long celebration of local design takes place...
Be it a story about being a designer in Los Angeles or creating a specific design for the city or even analyzing the design of Los Angeles, June's L.A.S. will be dedicated to the idea of design in LA in conjunction with the Los Angeles Design Festival.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
This event is first-come, first-served. Your Eventbrite ticket is an RSVP: know that we will only be letting the first fifty people at the event in the door as we have a fifty person capacity. The L.A.S. stories will begin at 8PM, with doors opening in the space at 7PM. Please join us in Sidebar for wine, beer, and food and to get a seat. You can find the Sidebar—where the event will be and we have to reach a drink minimum so join us there—at the end of the normal bar, behind the bookcase/door. Yes, the bookcase is a door: open it and you will enter the Sidebar. If you can't find it, ask a bartender, "I'm here for storytelling." and they will direct you back. The show will last for approxmiately an hour to an hour and a half. Things should be wrapping up by 9:45PM-ish—but feel free to hang out in Bar Covell as long as you like!
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
There is: since Bar Covell is a bar, you must be 21 and over to enter.
How much are tickets?
Admission to L.A.S. is totally free! However, we are renting the space and we do ask that you order a drink to support our host. Aside from listening and having a good time, ordering a drink is required.
What if I get a ticket and can't come?
No worries! Just let us know. There lots of other Angelenos who would like to attend the event in your place.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Can I update my registration information?
Yes—and please do! Sidebar only holds fifty-ish people. If you can't make it, let us know. More people will want to attend and we'd like to let those in from the waiting list.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Email Kyle at email@example.com
