As part of California's 2013-14 State Budget, one of the most historic bills in California's education funding history recently passed, called Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). StudentsFirst members like you were vocal in calling for this change. For many years, the way California funded our schools was inadequate. Now, school districts have the opportunity to use that money in a way that makes sense for the students they serve. And they need to hear from you.
Come to one of our Info and Action sessions to learn about Local Control Funding Formula and how you can ensure that parents and community members have a voice to improve schools and student outcomes. We'll tackle your tough questions and map out ways you can take action through advocacy and have a significant impact over the next several months.
