Office of Emergency Management CERT program
CERT educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their geographic area and trains them in basic disaster response skills. The topics include: fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations.
Trained CERT members can assist others in their neighborhood or workplace following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help, and are encouraged to support emergency response agencies by taking a more active role in emergency preparedness projects in their community.

Students must complete a photo release and a liability waiver in order to participate. Forms must be submitted by the end of the first night of class.
There are 24 seats available for this class. All students must be 18 years of age or older. You must attend all 5 sessions in order to complete the certification. However, if you can not make one class you may attend the missing session in the next class cycle (to be announced at a later date). Please email (email@example.com) to make notification of which sessions you will not be able to attend.
Light refreshments will be available at 5:45pm. All attendees are requested to arrive early to get refreshments and be prepared to start class promptly at 6:00pm.
If the class exceeds 24 registrants, Eventbrite will run a waitlist and you will be notified if a seat becomes available.
