The YES WE CAN Democratic Club will be hosting a Long Beach Mayoral debate Friday, February 28 at the historic First Congregational Church, located at 241 N. Cedar Ave., in downtown Long Beach. To date, five of the nine official candidates have accepted an invitation to participate.
Robert Garcia, Bonnie Lowenthal, Doug Otto, Gerrie Schipske, and Jana Shields will have the opportunity to explain to the public why they should be elected to become the next mayor of the seventh largest city in California.The public and media are invited to meet the mayoral candidates. All Long Beach voting residents are encouraged to reserve your seat today by visiting www.ywcdc.com and clicking on the Mayoral Debate banner. Please add this event to your calendar and share with your friends and neighbors. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the debate begins at 7:00 p.m. sharp.
Admission is free, but donations to offset costs will be cheerfully accepted at the debate! Free parking will be available at the City Hall parking structure on Broadway.
