Event Details

An exciting two-hour guided bus tour, Local Historic Districts of South Bend Heritage Tour is an experience of the authentic history and development of the neighborhoods with a sub theme on prominent individuals of the past and a second sub theme on national architectural trends.

Nine Local Historic Districts on the Heritage Tour include: West North Shore, Riverside Drive, Chapin Park, North Saint Joseph Street/River Bend, Taylor's Field, Edgewater Place, Lincoln Way East, and East Wayne Street.

Each of the nine Local Historic Districts has contributed to the development of South Bend in a different way.  We are proud of these neighborhoods and are proud of the neighbors that have been such great stewards of their homes.

As a bonus, we have included select Local Historic Landmarks near Downtown South Bend along this Heritage Tour.

Load Tim's Tours bus in Downtown South Bend.  Bus pickup/dropoff site is near the corner of West Washington/Michigan in Downtown South Bend near 1st Source Bank/Double Tree Hotel building.  Bus will conclude at same site of pick up.
