The feature documentary chronicles Los Angeles–based Foulkes’s struggles and successes, from ages 70 to 77, as he creates, destroys, and recreates large-scale artworks, including the piece that collapsed his marriage. The film reveals Foulkes’s obsessive vision and late-career success.
