Living the Dream | Awards Brunch
Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10:00 AM (EST)
It has been eighty-six years since our humble inception. The brothers of AGL or the “Harlem Alphas” as we are affectionately called have accomplished a great deal in our fraternal mission of “Manly Deeds, Scholarship and Love for All Mankind.” Yet, we know that this is no easy endeavor and it is not our fight alone.
On January 19, 2013 AGL will host an awards brunch in honor of one of America’s, as well as Alpha’s, greatest champions of justice, the late Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Our Living the Dream Awards Brunch will honor community partners that uphold the lofty goals that Dr. King so proudly set forth. As we gear up to highlight the ideals of Dr. King’s concept of peacefully addressing social issues, we invite you to join us at the 2013 Living the Dream Awards Brunch.
AGL has always played a role in promoting the rich history, culture and promise of the Harlem community through our core programs such as: Leadership Development Institute, Go to High School Go to College Program, Voteless People is a Hopeless People Campaign and Project Alpha (teen pregnancy prevention program). Proceeds from this event will support our core programs.
We hope you can join us on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at the Alhambra Ballroom at 2113 Adam Clayton Powell Blvd., to support this year’s Living the Dream Awards Brunch. Tickets for this formal event are only $45.00. Hopefully you and nine representatives of your chapter will join us in memory of our esteemed Brother. Together with partners like you, we can continue our concentrated efforts to provide leadership where it is most needed. This is a momentous endeavor and your participation will help us continue to shine the light that Dr. King has lit and help others Live the Dream!
If you have any questions please contact our event chairperson, Bro. Larry Scott Blackmon at 917-741-6333 or via email at Larry@Blackmonllc.com.
Thank you for your kind consideration. We look forward to seeing you in the village of Harlem at the 2013 Living the Dream Awards Brunch!
