Living in Sin and Virtue: Artists’ Mixer at MOBIA
Wednesday, August 13, 2014 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM (EDT)
New York, NY
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
In tandem with the Museum of Biblical Art’s exhibition Back to Eden: Contemporary Artists Wander the Garden, MasterDabblers is delighted to invite you to a sinfully good artists’ mixer.
Which deadly sins do you indulge in most? Which of the seven virtues do you practice most? And more importantly, how have you grown from all of these decisions? Adam and Eve are transformed by their voluntary contact with the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. Come meet some of the exhibiting artists and learn from one another’s professional choices—sinful and virtuous—to become the creator you aspire to be.
The evening will also feature a trivia game inspired by the works on view in the gallery and the artists Lynn Aldrich, Anonda Bell, Maria Magdalena Campos-Pons, Sean Capone, Mat Collishaw, Jim Dine, Mark Dion, Barnaby Furnas, Adam Fuss, Rona Pondick, Alexis Rockman, Lina Puerta, Naomi Reis, Pipliotti Rist, Dana Sherwood, Mary Temple, Fred Tomaselli, and Marina Zurkow.
RSVP is required by August 1, 2014. Hors d’oeuvres and hard apple cider sponsored by Original Sin will be served. The Museum will be open late.
Admission is free.
