Dr. Mackstaller received her medical degree from the University of Arizona after graduating from nursing school 30 years prior. She has been associated with UAMC Cardiology for nearly 37 years. Her research has been published multiple times on the subjects of nurse-directed anti-coagulation clinics and atrial fibrillation. She was in charge of medical, coronary and pediatric ICU's for over 10 years as a nurse. She was awarded "Woman on the Move" in 2005 and "The Spirit of Philanthropy" award in 2011.
Parking is available in the University of Arizona Medical Center – University Campus visitor/patient parking garage. The fee is $1.50 per hour, cash only. Free parking is available after 5:00 p.m., in the UA Zone 1 permit and metered parking lot 2030, just south of the parking garage at East Mabel St., and Martin Ave.

The Living Healthy With Arthritis program is a community based intervention program that uses education to promote optimal health. The University of Arizona Arthritis Center faculty and staff, as well as experts from the community present topics monthly.
