Livermore Valley Education Foundation (LVEF) is excited to host a Technology Day Fundraiser powered by Knodemy to empower young students along with their parent and guide them to become innovators and lead the way to the future through exposure to computer science and technology (STEAM). (Limited Space)
This event will provide an opportunity to the student and parent who are eager to learn more about technolgoy to collaborate, innovate and bring their ideas to life. The Tech Day is structured to teach participants to become builders and creators, and not just consumers of technology.
* no prior programming experience required
What will you learn?
- Introduction to programming, basics in programming languages such as:
- Concept of an idea to a product launch
- Problem Solving
PRIZES for the 1st and 2nd place winners:
1st Place Team: $300
2nd Place Team: $200
What to expect?
Students will attend the first part of the event where they will be taught the basics of Computer Science & programming. After the initial instruction is over, they will break into teams where they will get a chance to collaborate in order to brainstorm ideas, create a product and market the product.
At the end of the event, each team will present their project to the attendees, judges and knodemy instructors.
Is there an age limit to enter the event?
For students: Gr 6-10. No prior programming experience required
One Parent is highly encouraged to attend with their child (Ticket required to attend)

BYOL (Bring Your Own Laptop - PC/Chromebooks or MAC) REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE
