Online registration has closed for our event -- please pick up your pre-registered ticket(s) from the Lisner Auditorium box office directly between the hours of 11am-5pm at 730 21st Street, NW, Washington D.C. 

If you don't have a ticket registration, or cannot get to the box office before Monday at 5pm, a stand-by line will be in place in front of Lisner Auditorium on Monday evening.

This Conversation Series event will investigate the challenges, history, and politics of the role of the press secretary, and the changing media landscape that covers the White House.

The School of Media and Public Affairs

The School of Media and Public Affairs is an established thought leader for teaching and research in the areas of political communication, journalism, global communication and documentary filmmaking. We have pioneered two of those fields, offering Journalism classes since 1938 and establishing the world’s first Political Communication major in 1982.  Our classes are taught by full-time professors and successful adjunct professionals with recognized reputations in their field and a dedication to publishing with and mentoring our student body.
