"Literatures (A)cross Cultures" is an international conference highlighting Hispanic American literature of the last thirty years. This conference invites scholars into a critical and exciting conversation on the road that contemporary Hispanic American literature has taken. The topics will examine a variety of cross-cultural representations that come to us through queer theory, feminist criticism, post-national and post-colonial thought, and through religious perspectives, among others.

Deadline to submit proposals is Thursday, September 1. Each presentation will be 20 minutes in length. Submit proposal using this webform. For more information on submissions, please contact Gina Ponce de Leon.

The conference opens with Tres Vidas, a chamber music theatre work for actress and trio (cello, piano and percussion) by guest artists, Core Ensemble.
