It's a long road from the "aha" moment of a manuscript idea to holding the bound book in your hands. Four Chicago-area writers with children's books hitting the shelves for the first time talk about their journey from concept to publication. Demitria Lunetta, author of "In The After," Eileen Meyer, author of "Who's Faster? Animals on the Move," Nancy Cavanaugh, author of "This Journal Belongs to Ratchet" and Tom Watson, author of "Stick Dog." Moderated by Kate Hannigan, founder of the Hyde Park/South Side Network of SCBWI and debut author of the forthcoming middle-grade novel "Cupcake Cousins."
