Our world is changing right before our eyes. God is being banished from the public square. Some people have turned their backs on God and dismissed Him from their lives. Consequently, our world is in a downward spiral. It truly is a sad situation. But it doesn't stop there. These people want others to join them. They have become quite vocal and are making outrageous claims and deceptive arguments to undermine faith in God. A new generation is being confronted for their first time by some very old arguments. These arguments have been thoroughly and competently defeated. But, that doesn't stop them from being employed again to an unsuspecting generation.
Can we have confidence that the Bible is from God? Is truth knowable? Is truth something we make or manufacture? Or, is it a consistent standard for all time regardless of the situation? Is it relevant to a modern world? Is the God of the Bible a homicidal vindictive bully as some would have us believe? Has the Bible come to us accurately thru the centuries without mistakes or errors? These old questions are being asked again to create doubt. In some ways that is not a bad thing. Everyone must have their own faith and establish their own reasons why they believe. We have a great opportunity because of these questions.
This is a new generation and we need to hear those great old lessons that show us that we can have rock solid confidence in God's word. Let us help one another to fortify our faith at this years youth conference
