The L.O.V.E. Coalition is holding open call auditions for monthly galleries that will be themed around specific social issues that the LGBTQ community face. Auditions are open to LGBTQ visual and performance artists, ages 17-24. Auditions will be held on Tuesday, January 29th at the Central Library Auditorium from 5-7 pm. We ask that visual artists bring a portfolio of their work and be prepared to discuss the way in which their art addresses issues they have faced as a result of identifying as LGBTQ. Performance artists are asked to prepare a five minute performance piece that also deals with a specific social issue facing LGBTQ and be prepared to discuss the role of that issue in their performance.
