Prior to becoming a Talent Acquisition leader, Dana served his country as both enlisted and an officer in the US Navy. Upon graduating the United States Naval Academy, Philip received dual academic honors along with several leadership awards. His six years at sea included tours as an Engineering Division and Training Officer onboard USS STETHEM, Chief Engineer onboard USS HOWARD, and Force Protection Antiterrorism Officer onboard USS JOHN C. STENNIS with DESTROYER SQUADRON 21. Upon transitioning out of the Navy, he joined Centex Homes in Las Vegas as a construction leader. He soon discovered his passion of acquiring, developing, and retaining top talent as the Director of Construction Development, and subsequently Director of Talent Management in Dallas. He joined Kaye/Bassman International Corporation, a Top-10 U.S. executive search firm, specializing in STEM and Military Leadership talent. While in Dallas, Philip served as Advisor to University of North Texas’s Professional Leadership Program, and Industrial Advisor to the College of Engineering. While at Sears Holdings in Chicago, Dana led all Diversity, Military Talent, and Corporate Responsibility programs. AMAZON recruited Dana to build a Military Talent program, subsequently ranking #1 by GI Jobs, and quickly became a staffing leader for North American Operations, supporting one of the fastest growing companies on earth in the hiring of thousands each year.
