Life of Thad Stevens: What Part of 'All Men Are Created Equal' Do You Not Understand?

Rediscovered Lancaster hero Thaddeus Stevens overcame deep adversity as a child to develop into a bold legislator committed to rescuing public education, abolishing slavery, punishing the Confederacy and impeaching a President. This presentation will illustrate the circumstances that shaped Thad's childhood, highlight the events that influenced his principles, and discuss the frustrations that commanded his mission.

Join author Kathy Brabson as she talks about and signs copies of her new book for young adults, Life of Thad Stevens, a fictional biography based on the events of Stevens' early life.

This event is open to all ages, but specifically teens/adults.

Please pay all outstanding fines before attending library programs.
