Liberty Hill Christmas Fest Parade 2014
Sunday, December 7, 2014 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM (CST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Join us to parade through historic downtown Liberty Hill, TX as we welcome Christmas to 2014! We'll enjoy long-time fan-favs and new visitors as well with dancers, musicians, animals, snazzy chrome, and hulking military and service giants, mixed with familiar characters and of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus! All are welcomed by our tailgating route of fans who turn out to support and enjoy the spectacle on wheels, our mile-wide, hour long party!
All visible sides of all floats must be covered and decorated, and entries are encouraged to utilize sight, sound, and motion to engage attention. Impact!
Anyone who prefers to sponsor a performing group or costumed character will have their org or business name carried alongside. You may provide a banner and a handler, or request a 12 x 24 sign be carried by one of our volunteers.
Entries will be judged in 4 categories: Best Use of Theme, Panther Pride, Best Car/Motorcycle, Spirit of Christmas
The staging grounds will open at 11:15 and the roads will close by 1:30.
Judging will be completed before 1:40
There will be a MANDATORY SAFETY Meeting at 1:45 at the front registration table, requiring at least one driver/rep from each entry.
The National Anthem and Moment of Silence will begin at 2pm. The Jingle Bell Run will lead us off at 2:05
No matter how cold, this event will go on. Please plan your entry to accomodate the weather predicted. Secure any canopy/tent used, and provide holds for passengers to use.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking at the stadium grounds will be in the grassy field west of the school, and is "in" until the event finishes. Drop-offs should use the front circular driveway.
Leaving a second car at the finish line (LH Intermediate School driveway) will be your best ride back to your vehicle if needed.
Please direct all parents/carpools to pick-ups at the Parade Finish Line at the Festival. NO PASSENGERS will be allowed to remain on open floats leaving the LHIS finish grounds. Officers will not allow you to leave the lot with unsecured passengers. We suggest arranging a pick-up spot at the Fest to avoid congestion and youngsters walking through the busy parking lot. Floats will be directed into the LHIS drop-off driveway, and passengers will be safest exiting to the sidewalk on your right.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Tossing candy or goodies to your fans is a time-honored tradition. Please 'help' younger kids to get these far away from the wheels and walkers. Remember to pace yourself, as there will be spectators for a mile!
No alcohol, tobacco, or visible firearms on any entry.
All animals must be under control and have kennel or cage space available if needed during the gathering time.
Can I update my registration information?
You may re-enter your registration until Thursday Dec 4th to change the wording of the LENGTHY description that will be read as you approach the two announcing stations.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
How can I contact the coordinator?
