Digital surveillance and entrapment of LGBTQ individuals is on the rise worldwide. In places like Saudi Arabia where homosexuality is punishable by death, gay men have been detained for looking for sex partners online. In other countries, LGBTQ freedom of speech is being challenged as websites are blocked and cellular networks are censored - this includes in our own backyard.
Eric Silverberg is the founder and CEO of SCRUFF, one of the largest gay social apps in the world, and a developer by trade who has worked at both at Google and Microsoft. He will discuss:
