Chrysa Wagenfehr Bratz was diagnosed with CLL, Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia in 2011. In 2012 doctors explained that a bone marrow transplant was necessary for a full recovery. Here we are in 2013 after much radiation, chemotherapy, and a second bone marrow transplant. The good news is she is now A+ blood type, when she started as A-. This is great news! It means the transplant is working (props for Dona, her sister who donatedJ.) Now we just need her to recover from all the nasty side effects that have come along with these treatments.
That being said, we are hosting a benefit to support and make donations for the Bratz family to get them through these tough times. There will be a huge party at Kicaster Country Store on April 7th, 2013 with bar-b-que plates, live music, auctions, and plenty of fun activities for the kids. All proceeds will go to the family to help with medical bills, deductibles, co-pays, prescriptions, and other out-of-pocket expenses like gas to and from the hospital each day. Show your support by attending the event and also sending thoughts and prayers. If you are unable to attend, you can contribute through this eventbrite.com page. My personal goal is to raise at least $1000 through this website. Every little bit helps, so donate now!

Chrysa has been in the hospital for three weeks now battling GVHD, a side effect from the bone marrow transplant. We just got the approval for a new experimental treatment! The doctors are doing all they can, let's do what we can to help!
T-shirts and koozies will be available on the day of the event. Bar-b-que plates are being sold for $12! Can't wait to see y'all there!
