The Letterpress Studio at Baker Library is offering an opportunity to learn some fundamentals of letterform drawing through designing and printing pages of an alphabet book. During the evening series of workshop sessions, participants will receive intensive instruction in the drawing and integration of traditional letterforms with graphic translations of animal forms. The combined images will be handcut onto linoleum blocks and printed with a letterpress prooﬁng press. Sessions will be held weekly on Wednesdays from 6 to 9 pm in Baker Library, room 21, starting February 5, and will be led by Won K. Chung. Materials and equipment will be provided without charge by the Workshop.
No experience is necessary but registration is required and will be limited to eight participants with priority given to Dartmouth students and previous Letterpress Intensive participants.

Book Arts Workshop
The Book Arts Program at Dartmouth College consists of a Letterpress Studio and Bindery Studio. It is open to all levels of experience; instruction on using the printing presses and in binding books is given. There is no fee to use the studios or to attend workshops but participants are expected to follow posted guidelines for cleaning up after themselves and putting away type. Failure to do so may result in studio privileges being revoked. The studios are open Fall, Winter, and Spring term. See our website for more information.
