Let's Walk Together™ was created to support the Rebecca School Community, through fundraising for the non-profit, Rebecca Association for Autism. We felt that there was a need for a walk that could accommodate our students’ sensory strengths, needs, and abilities. Let us gather and celebrate the Rebecca School staff, families, and most of all, the students - all for a good cause!
Let’s Walk Together™ is a grass-roots event created by the Rebecca School staff.
100% of the proceeds will go to the Rebecca Association for Autism (RAA), and their support of Café Rebecca. The RAA is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. For more information on how to get involved, contact email@example.com.
Café Rebecca is a gluten-free café located within the Rebecca School. Through the Café Rebecca program, students in the transitions program (ages 15-21) bake, deliver, advertise and run all aspects of a café. Our student bakers create everything from the logo to the cupcakes. Café Rebecca is helping the Rebecca School learn about healthy choices while making cooking a fun, shared experience for all.
One-mile walk in Flushing Meadows Park with games and art activities for all ages to enjoy throughout the walk.

What if I can't come, can I still donate?
Let's Walk Together™ has a fundraising goal of $4,000! That money will go directly to the support of The Rebecca Association for Autism and Café Rebecca.
So what will $4,000 (or more) do for Café Rebecca?
Here's a "taste" of what Café Rebecca accomplished over the last two months with LESS THAN $4,000...
- Celebrated 6 student birthdays
- Provided gluten-free baked goods for 15 parent and staff meetings
- Served over 115 students and staff members delicious treats
- 528 cookies
- 180 muffins
- 48 cupcakes

Is this a tax-exempt donation?
Yes, your registration fee and any donation is tax deductible to the fullest extend allowed by law. The Rebecca Association for Autism is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your paypal receipt will serve as the tax-exempt receipt.
What should I bring to the event?
Prepare for a nice day in the park.
- Bring weather appropriate clothing, this event is RAIN or SHINE!
- Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, we will be active and on the move!
- Bring water and some light snacks for you and your family.
- Bring any allergy medications you or your child may need.
- Bring sunscreen for a (hopefully) beautiful day!
- Bring a backpack or bag to carry any goodies you may bring home (wink...)
Will there be food or water?
We will provide orange slices and water (but please bring your own too).
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You do not have to print anything out for this event. Just bring your walking shoes and a smile!
How long is the walk?
The walk will be approximately 1 mile long. It is not necessary to walk the entire or any of the course, this is an event about being together!
Will there be a designated "break" area?
Let's Walk Together™ will create a safe and comfortable environment to support different sensory needs. We will do our best to provide a break area where both children and family members can get a needed break from the activities...there may be bubbles!
Are there bathrooms?
There are public bathrooms nearby the meeting point (Bathrooms and facilities map HERE)
Can I bring friends and family?
Of course you can, the more the merrier! We ask that each individual attending Let's Walk Together™ sign up online before the event. Tickets are sold as both adult and child/Rebecca School Staff rates.
What if I can't make it?! (What is your refund policy?)
Sorry, but there are no refunds for this donation-based walk. Of course, we'd love it if you were able to make it and we'd be happy to still get you your awesome "Let's Walk Together" T-Shirt!
Where does my money go?
100% of proceeds go to the non-profit organization, Rebecca Association for Autism, and their support of the Café Rebecca program.
