<50%” is about a neurotic man named Gianmarco and his relationship with Beulah. The title refers to the statistic that more than half of marriages end in divorce, a fact that, along with the scientific materialism that dominates headlines, has hardened Gianmarco into a reluctant cynic. His love for Beulah mixed with his borderline nihilism create for a very strenuous relationship, an even more strenuous break-up and conclude in a complicated idea: to have a child together but stay separated. Caught between subjective truths and objective fact, Gianmarco and Beulah are forced to figure out what love really means and what kind of sacrifices they are willing to make for it.
