The Oklahoma League of Women Voters invites TYPros members to the first ever statewide "Focu$ on Education" which will include a panel discussion on funding education reforms. Panelists include David Blatt of Oklahoma Policy Institute and Sharon Rodine of Oklahoma Institute of Child Advocacy, among others.
“We all agree that rigor and accountability is key to making certain every Oklahoma child, regardless of zip code, graduates from high school prepared for and with access to college and career training,” said Mary Jane Lindaman of the League of Women Voters, “but we’re concerned without substantial investments to the education budget by the Legislature, we’ll fall short of this goal.”
Tulsa's Young Professionals joins 49th is Not Ok, OklahomaPTA, Together Oklahoma Coalition, Stand For Children and Oklahoma State School Boards Association in sponsoring this event to raise awareness to the need for increased education funding in Oklahoma.
