Lecture Series: The Changing Face of the Mental Health Profession 

Join us in the second of a six-part lecture series as University of Phoenix faculty, Dr. Jennifer Rousch, presents on current trends impacting the educational and hospital setting.  Mental Health Professionals can earn continuing education units, practicum training hours or professional development units as you gain insight into industry trends and collaborate with other industry professionals.  Future topics include school counseling, non-profit community agencies, prisons and military.  Lunch will be provided.

Highlights

Keynote Speaker Biography:

Dr. Jennifer Rousch is a licensed clinical psychologist with work experience in both inpatient and outpatient mental health treatment settings. Dr. Rousch has her BA in Psychology and Behavioral Science from Concordia University, Irvine and her MA and PsyD in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles (Alliant International University). She has had many years of management experience both in clinical and non-clinical settings, currently working as Director of Assessment /Referral/Triage, Case Management, and Clinical Services for BHC Alhambra Hospital. Her responsibilities include training, mentoring, and staff development; triage of psychiatric patients; supervision of pre-doctoral and post-doctoral interns; budgeting, trending, and forecasting; utilization review, discharge/aftercare planning, and clinical care coordination; and therapeutic programming. She has also served as an Area Chair/Lead Faculty/Site Supervisor for University of Phoenix, as well as in the classroom for graduate and undergraduate coursework. In addition to hospital-based work, Dr. Rousch has an outpatient practice working with individuals, groups, couples, and families with acute mental illness, eating disorders, first responders, and relapse prevention concerns.
