Lecture Series: The Changing Face of the Mental Health Profession 

Join us in the first of a six-part lecture series as University of Phoenix faculty, Michelle Crawford, LMFT, presents on current trends impacting the educational and private practice sector.  Earn continuing education units, practicum training hours or professional development units as you gain insight into industry trends and collaborate with other industry professionals.  Future topics include school counseling, non-profit community agencies, hospitals, prisons and military.  Lunch will be provided.

Keynote Speaker

Michelle Crawford is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 1996, Michelle has worked in a variety of settings with diverse populations. After spending 8 years at a non-profit community counseling center providing family therapy to qualified children and their families, began a private practice in Tustin, CA. Currently Michelle specializes in couple’s therapy, using the Emotionally Focused Therapy approach. Michelle is excited to be in the final stages of becoming an ICEEFT Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist.

In 2006 Michelle completed the NFC at the University of Phoenix So Cal Campus, with the goal of facilitating practicum courses with MSC/MFCT students. Since 2009 Michelle has been the Clinical Coordinator for the MSC program at the So Cal Campus. This lead faculty position includes overseeing the practicum program for approximately 400 MSC students. Michelle maintains the practicum site list, communicates and manages practicum requirements for students; conducts Practicum Certification Training to faculty; oversees the CPCE and the Second Saturday Seminar program for MSC students.
