Join Edmodo for our next Learning About Learning event with Vivienne and Norma Ming!
Dr. Norma and Vivienne Ming will be discussing traditional assessment’s focus on content knowledge and the limited applicability beyond the immediate school setting. Major employers have shifted their focus to intangible skills such as leadership, grit, and creativity. Collectively, these meta-learning skills are associated with success in the workplace, whereas domain-specific skills such as programming, economics, and statistics are seen as trainable.
Dr. Norma Ming is a learning scientist and educational technology thought leader who works at the intersection of research and development, policy, and practice. Dr. Vivienne Ming is a theoretical neuroscientist, technologist and entrepreneur.
