Are Charter Schools More Effective than Public Schools?
For 25 years, a growing number of policy makers and practitioners have sought to improve the performance of schools, and seen their efforts met with increasing resistance across the country. Of the various programs and reforms proposed, the largest is the policy to allow Charter Schools in the U.S.
Join Edmodo at its inaugural Learning About Learning speaker series to hear Macke Raymond discuss her research on the effectiveness of Charter Schools vs. Public Schools. What are Charter Schools and how do they differ from mainstream ones? How well do they perform? What are the factors that increase or decrease the success of Charter Schools?
The Director of the Center for Research on Education Outcomes (CREDO) at Stanford University, Raymond has steered the group to national prominence as a rigorous and independent source for policy and program analysis. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear an industry expert examine the current state of education reform and the realities facing schools across the country.
